Most abortions in clinics take
about 5-10 minutes, although some drug-induced abortions can last up to 24
hours.
The actual abortion treatment
lasts for a first trimester depending on the pregnancy only 5-10 minutes. The
procedure is the same as the first - abortion in a clinic, except with the drug
- abortion and a few other minor changes.
It is observed that it can take
twice as long for a woman to go to one of these clinics and find that she is
too advanced during pregnancy to have an abortion there, if she first tries to
make an appointment and has to schedule an additional 2-3 weeks for the
abortion.
An abortion in a pregnancy over 16 weeks may require a second - a
trimester appointment with a doctor at another clinic, and she must remain in
the clinic for at least two weeks after the first to ensure that her abortion
is complete.
Women who had abortions in the
second trimester were twice as likely to have an abortion as those who lived
less than 25 miles away when they made the first call to an abortion clinic,
and women who lived more than 30 miles from a full-term abortion clinic were
three times as likely to have an abortion as women who lived less than 25 miles
away and sought a second abortion.
According to the study, abortion patients in
the second trimester were two times more likely to say they needed a long time
to organize the abortion than those in the second trimester who actually had an
abortion.
Second, trimester patients
receive more comprehensive ultrasound screening, but they usually do not need
any more tests or appointments before a surgical abortion or medical abortion
in a hospital.
To make an informed decision
about an abortion, your doctor must weigh up how long you are pregnant before
deciding which abortion method to use. The choice between a medical or surgical
abortion will depend on how many weeks pregnant you are and what options are
available, where you live.
You need to go back to Choices to make sure your
uterus is empty and the abortion is successful. If your abortion fails, you may
need the option of repeating the process or having a surgical abortion
performed in a clinic.
When checking, remember that
abortion is a medical procedure that involves your health, body and mind. You
will meet with nurses, doctors and health center counselors to discuss what
abortion options are available and whether it is the right decision for you.
Some people choose to have an abortion in a clinic because they want to have
their treatment performed in a health center. You can feel comfortable and safe
knowing that the abortion is performed in a hospital - as in a setting.
Orlando Women center provides both surgical
and non-surgical abortions to women in the early stages of pregnancy up to the
time they are 26 weeks pregnant. It
offers a wide range of options for a second trimester abortion clinic as well as a variety of other options.

There is no
guarantee that every woman needs an abortion, but one must learn as much as
possible about one's options and whether or not one can get the abortion one
wants or needs.
If you are more than 10 weeks pregnant on the
first day of your last period and the pregnancy is over, you can have an
abortion in a clinic. Surgical abortions can be performed in any clinic in the
United States and other countries but only in cases of rape or incest.
